TITLE: Silt at the north end of Osoyoos Lake
DESCRIPTION: Since the Okanagan River was channelised in the 1950's, silt and debris is washed directly into the lake instead of being caught and filtered by natural wetlands and oxbows.
Note: a large part of the land shown here is scheduled for development.
